Mickey’s use of the word hot dog
An odd Disney fact dates back to Walt Disney himself. Apparently, he really loved hot dogs to the point that the hot dog stand at Disney World sits exactly 25 steps from the nearest trash bin because it took him 25 steps to finish one.
His love of the processed mystery meat appears to make its way into Disney shows and movies throughout the years.
Mickey’s use of the phrase “hot dog!” dates back to 1929 when he appeared in the the Karnival Kid. In this cartoon, he exclaims “Hot dogs! Get your hot dogs!” Since then, he says “hot dog” an awful lot in different shows and movies.
It’s likely that the Hot Dog song in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse can trace its origin all the way back to the founder’s obsession for hot dogs.
One other notable use of “hot dog” came in Spider-Man: Homecoming. In it, the Vulture proclaims “hot dog” when he was excited. This may be a weird audio Easter egg of Mickey Mouse in the partially Disney owned Marvel movie.
