Hocus Pocus 2 Christian Review – What God-fearing Christians fear now

When you want a good laugh, make sure to read an original Hocus Pocus 2 Christian review. Despite the absence of homosexuality, certain Christians warn parents and others to avoid letting their little ones watch Hocus Pocus 2 because it encourages the occult.

Yes, your child may get tempted to practice witchcraft and defy the will of the church and God because you let them watch a generally lackluster sequel to the cult classic known as Hocus Pocus.

Repent! Repent now!

What does the average Hocus Pocus 2 Christian review say?

If you are a good God-fearing Christian looking for what your fellow Christians have to say, you’re only sort of in the right place.

I can tell you, I have read quite a few Christian reviews of Hocus Pocus and its sequel. They all center around one very scary topic: witchcraft.

That’s right. The biggest concern here is that your little ones will stray from the path of God and ignore the church’s teachings in order to practice witchcraft.

Even the prudes at Common Sense Media make no mention of the potential dangers of witchcraft. Their biggest issue is stating the sequel was actually better than the original Hocus Pocus. This is objectively false and blasphemous in and of itself.

Some Hocus Pocus 2 Christian review sites make it clear that good Christians won’t find the “dark” story and “occult” vibes funny. How could they? How could YOU!?

It is clear that, like showing even a hint of homosexuality, your kids will immediately reject all things Christ and go about forming their own coven of witches. So, of course, they also tend to make issue of the drag queen contest as well.

You may also need to know that Winifred boasts of taking the Lord’s name in vain. Twice. For Christ’s sake, how can such things exist in movies aimed at families? Dear Lord!

And she laughed about it! SHE LAUGHED!

Some reviews mention that Christians may want to pray before letting their children watch Hocus Pocus 2. They also mention how some of the tops are low cut and reveal cleavage, and Sarah reveals some leg with a garter I might add.

Fortunately I was strong enough to not start immediately lusting over any of the women in the movie, but your little ones may not be so fortunate. What if they start feeling a tingling in their peepee? Then what?

You’d think a homophobic Christian would be happy their little one wasn’t gay? Go figure.

By far, my favorite take on Hocus Pocus 2 comes from a Texas mother who posted a now deleted take on how the movie would unleash “hell” into your home. She asserted that Hocus Pocus 2 could cast any number of spells on you through – you guessed it – your TV.

I can’t make this shit up. It’s seriously like the scene in Hocus Pocus 2 where the main girl recites a list of vegan ingredients – for some reason – and the moronic boyfriend thinks she cast a spell on him.

Talk to your kids about

If you don’t let your kids watch Hocus Pocus 2, how can you ever show them great examples of what not to be? Let’s use Hocus Pocus 2 as a great teachable moment to all good Christian children everywhere.

Here are some topics to discuss to help you out:

  • The Sanderson sisters practice witchcraft. Leviticus 20:27 commands that we put them to death for practicing witchcraft. Specifically, we should stone them. Do you know any witches we should stone? Are you tempted to form a coven? If you are, we would need to stone you too. Don’t make me stone you.
  • Throughout history, we have used many methods to kill witches and heathens, such as burning at the stake, stoning, crushing them, drowning, and so on. What was your favorite method to kill witches? Which one would you choose to use today?
  • What would you do if you found out a friend or family member was a witch? Would you be a good Christian and rat them out? Or would you risk internal damnation and keep it secret?

Hocus Pocus 2 Christian Review (Parody)

Any God-fearing Christian should repent now if they cast their eyes upon Hocus Pocus 2!

The occult comes out in full force in this debauchery Disney tries to pass for “family entertainment.” The film first opens up in Salem, where we learn that Winifred defied the will of the church and spoke the Lord’s name in vain! She then boasted of her feat!  Boasts!

What kind of message does that send to our children!? If they lose respect for the church, they may lose respect for us. Then they may start questioning us and thinking on their own. And then what? Maybe they will find science or knowledge that only further defies the church!

The entire movie embraces and glorifies the occult. The OCCULT! I don’t know exactly what that is, but I’ve read we should be SCARED of this devilry!

Who knows what sort of evil spells they can cast through our very own television sets!

And then there is the drag queen show. How dare they show a group of adults dressing up on Halloween for fun and prizes! What if our own kids want to dress for the devil on Halloween? Then what? They may just get free candy, and that’s like welfare for children! We can’t allow that!

What’s next? We feed the poor? House the homeless? No thanks. We just need to send them our Gospel truth to set them free in God’s Kingdom. I’m pretty sure the Bible never said anything about actually helping anyone here.

Who are we supposed to be? Jesus? We just need to help the unfortunate meet him one day. Some sooner than others.

Hocus Pocus 2 may have your little ones questioning this natural order of helping people find Jesus without actually helping them meet their actual needs. It’s best to avoid Hocus Pocus 2 altogether or you may just find your little ones turn to witchcraft and the devil

Pros

NOTHING! WITCHCRAFT NEEDS TO END!

Cons

EVERYTHING!
